When we take on the Calgary Stampeders in today’s Labour Day Rematch, presented by Nissan, a tradition will be reborn: Join us in welcoming the second generation of the Eskimos Fire Truck.
The original fire truck was retired a few seasons ago when it could no longer make turns on field level. A custom made, fun-sized replica fire truck, more nimble for the tight turf turns, was built to return the tradition to The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.
When the Eskimos score a touchdown and during the iconic fight song, firefighters will once again drive the truck in celebration – with mini footballs in hand!
