
When the Edmonton Eskimos host the Toronto Argonauts today, July 25, UFC President Dana White will participate in the pre-game coin toss at centre field. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
Tickets start at just $22 for a general admission pass – including all taxes and fees. Youth aged 17 and under get into the game for free in select seating sections. Tickets available at Ticketmaster.ca.
With over five million followers on Twitter and four million on Instagram, White is one of the most recognizable personalities of UFC and mixed martial arts as a whole. UFC President since 2001, he is credited with catapulting UFC to main stream culture. Under his leadership, the organization developed The Ultimate Fighter television show, acquired Pride Fighting Championships and brought in female fighters, including superstar Ronda Rousey. White is an eight-time winner of the World MMA Leading Man of the Year Award (2010-17).
Joining White at the game, welterweight fighters Stephen Thompson and Michael Chiesa will have a free pre-game autograph session in the QB Club at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium from 7 – 8 p.m.. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
White, Thompson and Chiesa are in Edmonton for UFC 240 this Saturday when Max Holloway takes on Frankie Edgar in the featherweight title bout.
