Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly is a CFL Player for the Month for his performance in August, marking the second such honour this season.
In August, Reilly threw for 1,233 yards and nine touchdowns, completing 87 of 135 pass attempts. He also finished with 18 carries for 84 yards and three touchdowns.
Reilly continues to lead the league in passing yards with 3,296 and in passing touchdowns with 22. He also has league lead in rushing touchdowns with eight.
This is the sixth time Reilly has received national honours this season – He was previously named a CFL Player of the Week for Weeks 1, 3, 7 and 10. He was also CFL Player of the Month for June.
CFL Players of the Month are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
