Mike Reilly Named CFL Player of the Week

Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly is a CFL Player for the Week for Week 7 for his performance in Edmonton’s 44-23 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last Thursday.

Reilly helped lead the Green and Gold to their fourth win of the season when he threw for 415 yards and four touchdowns, completing 24 of 32 pass attempts. He also finished with seven carries for 26 yards and one touchdown.

Reilly continues to lead the league in passing yards with 2,063 and in passing touchdowns with 13. He is also tied for the league lead in rushing touchdown with five.

This is the fourth time Reilly has received national honours this season – He was previously named a CFL Player of the Week for Weeks 1 and 3. He was also CFL Player of the Month for June.

CFL Players of the Week are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
