The Empire Gives Back to the Support Our Troops Fund

Throughout our 70 seasons, the Edmonton Eskimos have remained committed to making a positive and meaningful impact within our community. Eskimos fans have been just as committed to doing good by supporting the work the Eskimos do for the community we represent.

On June 29, at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium, the Edmonton Eskimos emerged victorious over the BC Lions on Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Night, presented by EPCOR. Before, and during the game, volunteers and Eskimos staff sold limited-edition bandanas to provide support for the Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre for the Support Our Troops Fund.

True to form, the Empire of Eskimos fans rallied, and the bandana’s SOLD OUT before the final whistle!

By purchasing the Empire Gives Back bandanas, and special Empire Gives Back tickets on June 29, the Empire Gives Back campaign raised $26,290.85 for the Support Our Troops Fund.

Funds will be dispersed to the Edmonton Garrison MFRC through Support Our Troops.ca, which will help families navigate the challenges of military life.

In addition to the Empire Gives Back funds, EPCOR generously donated an additional $40,000 to the Edmonton Garrison MFRC, which brings the total funds raised to $66,290.85.
