Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly is Player of the Month for October. Reilly has now earned Player of the Month Award two times (July) and Player of the Week twice (Weeks 5 and 8.).
During October, Reilly completed 85 – 137 passes (62%) for 1,276 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions. Reilly also rushed 24 times for 146 yards and three touchdowns and helped guide the team to a perfect 4 – 0 record for October.
The Central Washington product has thrown for 5536 yards and 30 touchdowns on 426 – 627 pass attempts and rushed for 361 yards and nine touchdowns on 87 carries. Reilly currently leads the CFL in yards passing, touchdowns thrown, and rushing touchdowns.
CFL Players of the Week are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
The Eskimos travel to Regina to take on the 10 – 7 Saskatchewan Roughriders at New Mosaic Stadium for the first time on Saturday, November 4 in the final regular season game of 2017 which will either see the club finish second, third, or fourth in the West Division as they enter the 2017 CFL Playoffs. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m. MT.
