Edmonton Eskimos sign former Green and Gold international linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis.
The Edmonton Eskimos first acquired Hoffman-Ellis from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on July 4, 2016 and he appeared in five games for the Eskimos where he recorded 11 tackles. He also had one tackle in the Eastern Final against Ottawa.
During the 2015 season, Hoffman-Ellis, as a member of the BC Lions, appeared in 17 games recording 64 tackles and three interceptions. In 2014, he played in one game for the BC Lions, finishing with 10 tackles and one forced fumble.
