Eskimos Bring Monday Morning Magic Home

On Monday, the Edmonton Eskimos host a remote invitational Monday Morning Magic event at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium as an extension of the K-Days Monday Morning Magic program.

Special needs children, their parents and aides were treated to a one-of-a-kind field level experience during practice, including meeting the team and coaches.

“Monday Morning Magic is a highlight of K-Days and we are proud to partner with North American Midway Entertainment and the Edmonton Eskimos to give children with special needs, and their families, a truly unique midway experience,” said Tim Reid, President and CEO, Northlands. “For the families to experience K-Days on their own and then be whisked over to The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium to hang out with the Eskimos – it will be an experience these kids will never forget.”

Those who attend the Eskimos practice were selected from a Northlands waiting list and wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate in Monday Morning Magic events.

Eskimos President and CEO Len Rhodes, Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Ed Hervey, the Cheer Team, mascots Nanook and Punter and Eskimos staff head to Northlands prior to practice to volunteer for the midway portion of the event.

The Green and Gold have proudly participated in Monday Morning Magic for nearly 40 years. Last April, the Eskimos were awarded the Northlands Ambassador Award for the continued commitment to the program.
