The Edmonton Eskimos have acquired international linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for a conditional eighth round selection in the 2018 CFL Draft.
Hoffman entered the league in 2014 with the BC Lions. In 18 games (11 starts), he recorded 65 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles and three interceptions. Last February, he signed with Hamilton as a free agent.
