Much has been written about the Edmonton Eskimos, but nowhere has the club’s entire history been gathered together in one place – at least until now.
Introducing the Epic Legacy of the Edmonton Eskimos, a large format, limited edition book by Epic Legacies Inc., in cooperation with the Edmonton Eskimos.
The first publication of its kind, the book chronicles highlights of the club’s entire history; from its very beginnings to the present era. Included are long-forgotten stories and rarely seen photographs featuring the people, places and events that shaped the club into what it is today.
Relying on his 45 years of experience reporting on the club, sports writer Terry Jones brings to life the story behind the 14-time Grey Cup champions for the benefit of fans for generations to come.
In Terry’s words, “This book details the exploits of the legendary Eskimos team as they won each of their five consecutive Grey Cups. It celebrates the Hall of Fame and Wall of [Honour] careers of the team’s stars and other notables. But it’s the whole of the accomplishment that is almost impossible to comprehend.”
Tipping the scales at 10 pounds and beautifully packaged in a gift box, each book is individually numbered and contains a certificate of authenticity. Features include letters from well-known players, autograph cards, a team statistical record book, fold-out photo pages – even reproductions of the Eskimos Grey Cup rings! The book sells for $249 plus shipping and tax, with a portion of the proceeds going to the community-owned Edmonton Eskimo Football Club.
One feature sure to be a fan favourite is the invitation to upload a photo of themselves to be printed in every copy of the book, forever uniting them with their team.
Publication is scheduled for October 2016. Pre-publication sales are open now. For a $49 deposit, fans can reserve their individually numbered, limited edition books directly from the publisher at esks.epiclegacies.com.
