On Wednesday, Eskimos offensive lineman Matt O’Donnell donated $10,000 of personal income to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
“The Edmonton Eskimos being a community-based team have taught me so much about the importance of community and being an active member of it,” says the four-year veteran, who has spent his entire CFL career playing for the Grey Cup Champion Edmonton Eskimos.
“Having visited the Stollery Children’s Hospital many times over my career, I have witnessed the power of people and technology in the fight against disease. It gives me a sense of great pride and humility knowing that I can aid in the fight these children, nurses, staff and doctors face every day. They are truly an inspiration.”
