Adarius Bowman Named CFL Player of the Week


Eskimos slotback Adarius Bowman has been named a CFL Player of the Week for his performance in Edmonton’s 26-23 overtime victory over the BC Lions last Saturday.

En route to his third 1,000-yard season (second consecutive), Bowman recorded 11 receptions for 198 yards and one touchdown. One hundred and thirty eight of those yards came in the first half on five catches, including a 69-yard touchdown pass from QB Mike Reilly in the second quarter.

This season, Bowman recorded 79 receptions for 1,084 yards and six touchdowns. He leads the Eskimos in receiving yards and is second in the league.

To date, the eight-year CFL veteran receiver amassed 434 receptions for 6,509 yards and 33 touchdowns.

This is Bowman’s second league award this season. He was named a CFL Player of the Week for Week 12.

CFL Players of the Week are chosen by a panel of judges including former CFL players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
