The Edmonton Eskimos have signed national wide receiver Nate Coehoorn to a contract extension, keeping him in Green and Gold through 2018.

In eight games (six starts), the native of Medicine Hat recorded 18 catches for 160 yards and added one special teams tackle. He returned to the active roster in Week 12 for Edmonton’s 27-16 win over the Calgary Stampeders.
A five year veteran, Coehoorn was originally selected by Edmonton in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft by Edmonton. He has amassed 166 career receptions for 1,894 yards and four touchdowns. A contributor on special teams, he also recorded 13 special teams tackles.
