Former Eskimo great Tom Wilkinson, who was part of five Grey Cup champion teams between 1975 and 1981, will be the face of the franchise as part of a new stamp set being released by Canada Post.
The set of stamps, which feature iconic players from all eight Canadian Football League teams, as well as a Grey Cup stamp, were commissioned to commemorate the 100th Grey Cup, which takes place on Nov. 25 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
Wilkinson played a major role in the Eskimos’ string of five consecutive Grey Cup victories from 1978-82, which serves as the background for the new stamp.
The entire set of CFL stamps will be available nationwide Aug. 16.
