Eskimo High School Camp Kicks Off

(Edmonton)  For approximately 75 football players from Edmonton and surrounding area high schools, it’s the highlight of their season as the 2012 Edmonton Eskimo High School Camp presented by Boston Pizza kicks off on Monday May 14th 2012.

The week-long, controlled contact teaching camp is run by Eskimo fullback Mathieu Bertrand, along with his teammates Nate Coehoorn, Simeon Rottier, Calvin McCarty, Grant Shaw, Gord Hinse, Hugo Lopez, Etienne Legare, Dale Stevenson and Corbin Sharun.

Brad Morgan, Edmonton Eskimo Manager of Community and Amateur Football Relations, says “The Boston Pizza High School Camp is a signature event in our program to develop youth football.  Eskimo players really enjoy sharing their time and talents with the kids.”

The on-field sessions will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Clarke Stadium on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; Thursday’s session will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the Commonwealth Stadium Field House.

City bragging rights are on the line in the Championship “Green and Gold” game on Friday, May 18.  Kick-off is at 4:00 PM at Clarke Stadium.
