(Edmonton) A teenager on the mend from critical injuries suffered in a deadly accident last October in Grande Prairie, Alberta has had his spirits lifted again by the Edmonton Eskimos.

A vehicle belonging to the mother of Zach Judd, the only survivor of the crash that killed four teammates from the Grande Prarie Warriors football team, has been stolen in Edmonton. Important personal items, such as medical documents and memorabilia including a signed game ball that the Eskimos gave to Judd during his time in hospital, were in the SUV, a midnight blue 2002 Dodge Durango, licence plate # PEX 067.

After hearing the news of the theft, Eskimo Manager of Community and Amateur Football Relations, Brad Morgan, brought an autographed helmet and football for the family. Morgan says, “This family has been through so much and what happened today is terribly unfair.  Zach has come so far in his recovery and the Eskimos are cheering for him.”

Anyone who sees the vehicle are asked to contact police immediately.
