Edmonton Eskimos

(Edmonton) EskiMovember kicked off this morning when offensive linemen Aaron Fiacconi and Kyle Koch got their facial hair shaved off on Breakfast Television at City TV.
The duo are among several Eskimo players and staff who have “teams” set up on the EskiMovember Network on movember.com. The goal is to raise both awareness and money for prostate cancer.

On Movember 1st, guys start with a clean-shaven face and then for the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
By growing a Mo during Movember, we effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through our actions and words raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
A Mo is defined according to the Movember rules:
1. There is to be no joining of the Mo to side burns – That’s a beard.
2. There is to be no joining of the handlebars – That’s a goatee.
3. A small complimentary growth under the bottom lip is allowed (aka a tickler).
Fiacconi and Koch has joined forces to become “The Hairy Hogs” team on the EskiMovember Network and have a goal of raising $5,000 towards prostate cancer research. Koch is also giving away two tickets to the November 4th Eskimo game to the person who has donated the most to “The Hairy Hogs” team by noon on Thursday, November 3.
Visit the EskiMovember Network to donate to an existing team or create a team of your own. Your support has the power to create a brighter future for those who struggle in the fight against prostate cancer.
