(Edmonton)  To honour the memories of the four teenagers killed and one critically injured in last Saturday’s accident in Grande Prairie, AB, the Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders will wear a helmet decal with the logo of the Grande Prairie Warriors football team.

Vincent Stover, 16, Walter Borden-Wilkins, 15, Matthew Deller, 16, and Tanner Hildebrand, 15 died in the crash while 15-year-old Zachary Judd remains in critical but stable condition in an Edmonton hospital.  All were teammates on the Grande Prairie Composite High School team.

Eskimo President and CEO Rick LeLacheur and Stampeder President Lyle Bauer jointly made the announcement that both clubs will sport the Warriors logo on their helmets for the final two regular season games. The Eskimos face the BC Lions Saturday in Vancouver, while the Stampeders play in Montreal on Sunday.

LeLacheur says, “This tragedy has been devastating for everyone affected. The football community has been touched as well and the Eskimos and Stampeders will wear the Warriors logo with pride as we remember the four young men who were taken too soon, and send our best wishes for a full recovery to Zachary Judd.”
