Make it rain – Due to rainy weather today, the Esks moved both practices indoors into the new field house. The coaches, players and media were all happy to have an indoor facility to keep them dry today!
QB Line-up – Head Coach Kavis Reed said today that QB Ricky Ray will not play in Regina on Friday night. The other four quarterbacks – Kerry Joseph, Matt Nichols, Eric Ward and Marc Mueller – will all see playing time.
The other side – University of Alberta product Dale Stevenson played defensive end for the Bears. The Eskimos are converting him to the offensive line and have been very impressed with his progress. Stevenson played two years at U of A with Eskimo teammate Gord Hinse.
True Blugh – Former Eskimo Leroy Blugh attended his first practice as a guest coach today. Blugh was the head coach at Bishop’s University from 2005-2010, helping turn the football program around.
