Fan Day – Close to 1,000 Eskimo fans showed up to Clarke Stadium to take in all the Fan Day festivities and watch the Green & Gold scrimmage. With lots to see and do, fun was had by all at today’s event.
TSN promo shoot – This afternoon TSN was on-site shooting for their 2011 CFL on TSN promo campaign. Die-hard Eskimo fans, members of the Pep Band and Cheer Team, along with QB Ricky Ray and SB Fred Stamps participated. TSN is shooting in every CFL city and the commercials will air nationally on TSN and across the Bell Media family of networks.
Eskimo Alumni – several Eskimo alumni were on-hand at today’s scrimmage and were interviewed on-field by Eskimo play-by-play man Morley Scott.
Familiar Face – the Eskimos announced today they signed import DB Lenny Walls. Lenny was all smiles today as he watched the scrimmage from the sideline. Walls started the first five games of the 2010 at halfback for the Eskimos before suffering a season-ending injury. He was released on May 27.
